We are seeking a Product Development Engineer and Project Manager specializing in plastic packaging to join their team. This is a responsible position offering significant creative freedom within an innovative international environment.

This role offers a 36-hour work week, 30 days of annual leave, and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge packaging solutions across multiple international production sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize plastic packaging products, components, and assemblies considering technical, economic, and quality requirements
• Create and present innovative packaging concepts for national and international clients
• Plan, manage, and execute development and product projects from concept through production handover
• Ensure adherence to timeline, cost, and quality targets throughout project lifecycles
• Lead and coordinate projects spanning multiple national and international production facilities
• Serve as technical interface with customers, suppliers, and external development partners
• Monitor project progress regarding processes, functions, timelines, and budgets
• Conduct technical feasibility assessments and support series production launches
• Coordinate all project-related activities and align with internal departments

What We're Looking For

• Completed vocational training in plastics technology, toolmaking, or comparable technical field
• Additional qualification as Meister, Techniker, or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• Several years of professional experience in plastics processing, ideally in plastic injection molding
• Strong knowledge of CAE and CAD systems
• Solid English language skills for collaboration with international customers and suppliers
• Proven experience in product development and project management environments
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
• Strong organizational skills and high sense of responsibility
• Assertiveness, resilience, and decisiveness
• Excellent communication abilities with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to present complex technical concepts clearly and effectively
• Team-oriented mindset with strong engagement and quality focus
