Product Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded AI technology company in the logistics sector, backed by top-tier European venture capital. Our client is building autonomous agent systems that are already in production with major industry players across Europe and Asia. They're looking for an exceptional Product Engineer to join their founding team in Berlin and help define the next generation of their platform.

This is a high-impact, high-ownership role where you'll work directly with customers and the founding team to build intelligent systems from the ground up. You'll operate across the full stack—from customer conversations to agent orchestration—making foundational technical decisions that shape the product's future.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and translate them into product direction and technical architecture
• Build full-stack features combining intuitive interfaces with intelligent backend logic, including LLM orchestration, agent workflows, and structured data pipelines
• Push the boundaries of LLMs and AI agents in production environments, solving hard problems around reliability, latency, and evaluation
• Scale systems from prototype to production-ready infrastructure, making deliberate tradeoffs between speed and durability
• Contribute to shaping the technical vision and product strategy of the company
• Ship features rapidly based on user feedback, treating customer insight as a core engineering input

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and React with clean architectural patterns
• Experience with distributed systems and serverless infrastructure handling concurrency, failure scenarios, and scale
• Hands-on MongoDB experience including schema design for query performance and flexibility
• Familiarity with observability tooling (Datadog preferred) for tracing async workflows and debugging production issues
• Practical experience with modern AI tooling: LLMs, vector stores, embedding pipelines, prompt engineering
• Track record of shipping LLM-powered features in production, including eval frameworks, structured output parsing, context management, and error recovery
• Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of technical projects from architecture through delivery and iteration

Location Requirements:

• In-person Monday to Wednesday at the Berlin office
• Willingness to travel within Europe as needed
• Available to start as soon as possible
