Product Designer – Portland Metro

Oneapp, a mission-driven company transforming rental housing access, is hiring a full-time Product Designer for its Portland Metro team. Based in the Portland area, you'll own design surfaces across our renter platforms, property management tools, and internal systems, working directly with our design lead to move features from problem discovery through implementation.

What This Role Involves

You'll take a hands-on approach to product design, making decisions about how renters and property managers experience our solutions. This role offers genuine autonomy—you'll shape how we approach problems, challenge concepts rigorously, and uphold a high standard of craft in every detail. Your contributions directly impact our ability to help people access housing, and you'll grow both individual product areas and the design system we're building together.

Responsibilities

• Design user experiences for renter-facing features, property management dashboards, and internal operational tools
• Develop and refine information architecture, user flows, states, and edge cases across your owned surfaces
• Build and strengthen design patterns to ensure clarity, cohesion, and consistency across products
• Collaborate with the design lead to review work, test approaches, and sustain quality standards
• Support engineering handoff with detailed specifications, documentation, and design guidance
• Contribute to the design system's ongoing development and scalability

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience designing digital products, ideally in B2B, marketplaces, SaaS, or consumer applications
• Mastery of design tools like Figma and a clear eye for interaction design and visual hierarchy
• Deep familiarity with UX/UI principles, design systems, and how to balance form with function
• Skill at navigating complexity—comfort designing for multiple user types, workflows, and edge cases
• A collaborative approach; ability to work effectively across design, engineering, product, and leadership
• Genuine curiosity about user needs, business constraints, and how design decisions drive impact
