Hourly Route Sales Representative

The Opportunity

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, customer interaction, and the autonomy of managing their own territory. You'll operate a step-van delivery vehicle throughout the Hainesport area, visiting retail partners daily to sell, deliver, and showcase Herrs snack products. The role combines the independence of route-based work with the satisfaction of building customer relationships and driving sales performance. Earn $19.31 to $23.60 per hour based on your experience, with eligibility for a retention bonus of up to $250.00. You'll work Monday through Friday, averaging 45–55 hours per week, with full-time employment status and a generous benefits package starting from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a step-van delivery vehicle safely on a designated route throughout the territory
• Execute product sales and secure purchase orders from retail locations
• Deliver snack products and manage shelf stocking and merchandising displays
• Build and maintain professional relationships with store managers and retail team members
• Manage route timing, inventory accuracy, and promotional compliance
• Provide exceptional customer service to grocery stores, mass merchandise retailers, and independent chains

Skills & Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license
• Maintain an excellent driving record—no more than 2 moving violations or DUIs within the past 3 years
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Demonstrate strong communication, persuasion, and organizational abilities
• Show sound judgment and adaptability to varying work and traffic conditions
• Work effectively in fast-paced settings while managing multiple priorities
• Provide professional references and a stable employment history
• Read, write, and speak English fluently
• Lift items up to 32 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 48 pounds; frequently walk, stand, bend, climb, and drive
• Score at least 70% on a pre-employment job-related assessment
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with the random drug testing program
