About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential grocery retailer seeking a Produce Clerk for their West Odessa, Ector County location. Our talent team is working directly with the hiring manager to identify candidates who are passionate about fresh produce, customer service, and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain produce department presentation by stocking, rotating, and organizing fresh fruits and vegetables
• Ensure all products are properly displayed, priced, and labeled for customer convenience
• Monitor product quality and remove items that do not meet freshness standards
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations
• Assist customers with product selection, answering questions about produce items
• Unload deliveries and verify product quality upon receipt
• Support inventory management and communicate stock needs to department leadership

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in grocery retail or produce departments preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and standing for extended periods
• Customer-focused mindset with friendly, professional communication skills
• Flexibility to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of produce handling and food safety practices is a plus
