Private Capital Fund Finance – Assistant Vice President

iCapital is hiring an Assistant Vice President of Fund Finance for our Private Equity team, based in Salt Lake County, Utah. About the Role

As Assistant Vice President of Fund Finance, you'll join a specialized team managing the accounting, administration, and reporting infrastructure for private capital funds. Reporting directly to our Vice President of Fund Finance, you'll build strong relationships across the organization—from fund management and operations to our vendor partners—and develop deep expertise in the processes that keep our funds running efficiently and compliantly.

What You'll Do

• Lead fund accounting initiatives, including the preparation and review of financial statements and compliance documentation for private capital fund vehicles
• Manage ongoing relationships with institutional investors, addressing reporting requirements and ensuring timely delivery of fund performance data and valuations
• Coordinate with external fund administrators, audit firms, and accounting vendors to ensure seamless execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Develop and refine accounting policies and procedures for fund finance operations, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and best practices
• Partner with portfolio management and operations teams to resolve complex accounting questions and support strategic fund decisions
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen our fund finance capabilities and operational efficiency

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in fund accounting, private equity finance, or alternative asset administration
• Demonstrated proficiency in fund financial reporting and a solid grasp of GAAP and SEC regulations as they apply to investment funds
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in managing complex financial data and reconciliations
• Excellent communication abilities, with the capacity to explain technical financial concepts to diverse stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CFA designation is a plus
