Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential engineering firm seeking a Power System Studies Project Manager to lead electrical coordination for mission-critical data center infrastructure.
In this role, you will serve as the central point of contact for short circuit, coordination, and arc flash (SCCAF) processes on complex projects. You'll coordinate between clients, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure electrical studies align with construction milestones and safety requirements.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Leading the SCCAF process from project kickoff through final reports and labeling delivery
- Developing and maintaining detailed study schedules that adapt to evolving construction activities and equipment data
- Coordinating information flow including RFIs, submittals, equipment specifications, settings, and study revisions
- Tracking inputs and following up on missing information, field discrepancies, or late design changes
- Planning and leading SCCAF coordination meetings with clear action items and accountability
- Partnering with technical teams to ensure quality and consistency between deliverables and construction documents
- Identifying schedule and delivery risks early and developing practical solutions with stakeholders
- Supporting project management activities including deliverable tracking, document control, invoicing coordination, and quality processes
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering strongly preferred; associate degree with equivalent experience required
- 4+ years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry with increasing project responsibilities
- 2+ years of project management, project coordination, or related leadership experience
- Familiarity with electrical engineering and design terminology
- Understanding of project schedules, contracts, financials, documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination
- Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to build effective relationships and create accountability across clients, contractors, and technical teams
- Commitment to exceptional client service, quality, and safety
Beneficial experience:
- Supporting short circuit, coordination, arc flash, power studies, or construction-phase electrical work
- Data center or mission-critical facility projects
