Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential beauty and retail organization in Brazil seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Python/Node.js) to join their direct sales product squad. In this role, you will develop cutting-edge solutions utilizing Generative AI to support the sales force and drive key business metrics.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance, solving complex problems and reducing technical debt
• Build high-performance backend solutions with focus on code quality, simplicity, and user experience
• Design and test Proofs of Concept (PoCs) applying Generative AI technologies
• Write automated tests (unit and E2E), conduct code reviews, and participate in pair programming
• Monitor system metrics, errors, and stability while ensuring accurate data tagging
• Design improvements, identify optimization opportunities, and maintain technical documentation
• Actively participate in technical and product decisions with an ownership mindset
• Collaborate transparently with cross-functional teams to resolve business challenges

What We're Looking For

Required skills and experience:

• Strong practical experience in backend development with Node.js and/or Python
• Proficiency with complete test automation pyramid (unit, integration, E2E) and quality analysis tools like Sonar
• Experience with relational (RDS) and non-relational databases (DocumentDB, DynamoDB)
• Hands-on experience with AWS platform (EC2, Secrets Manager, ElastiCache for Redis)
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, SQS)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines via GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Implementation of logs, metrics, distributed tracing, and secure coding practices
• Autonomous and collaborative work style in agile squads (Scrum/Kanban) with multi-language environments
• Analytical, questioning, and pragmatic approach to solving complex problems with broad architectural perspective

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience using code assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor) in daily workflow
• Integration experience with LLM APIs, agent platforms, or Generative AI engines
• Frontend development experience
