About the Role

As a Patient Advocate, you will be the first friendly face patients encounter, ensuring that the front desk operates efficiently and professionally while addressing each visitor’s needs with empathy and clarity.

What You'll Do

• Manage appointment scheduling, confirming details and updating calendars in real time.
• Answer multi‑line telephone calls and respond to emails promptly, directing inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member.
• Greet patients and visitors, verify information, and assist with check‑in and check‑out procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with privacy regulations.
• Coordinate with the front desk team to optimize patient flow and reduce wait times.
• Handle routine administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and preparing correspondence.
• Escalate concerns or complaints to supervisors when needed, following established protocols.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in health administration is a plus.
• Proven experience in a customer‑service‑focused front desk or reception role, preferably in a medical or clinical setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with multi‑line phone systems, email platforms, and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems or willingness to learn quickly.
• Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
