As a Part-Time Security Guard at Anna Gonzalez Apartments, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming, and orderly environment for residents and staff at this supportive housing location in Brooklyn. You will be a steady, visible presence whose attentiveness directly supports the wellbeing of the community CAMBA serves.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor building entrances, common areas, and grounds to keep residents, visitors, and staff safe.
• Greet, screen, and sign in visitors while enforcing access and building policies with professionalism and care.
• Conduct regular patrols and observe for safety hazards, suspicious activity, or policy violations.
• Respond calmly to incidents and emergencies, following established protocols and escalating as needed.
• Maintain clear, accurate logs of activity, incidents, and visitor traffic during each shift.
• Work collaboratively with on-site program staff to support a supportive, respectful housing environment.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard license (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Prior experience in security, public safety, or a related field is an asset.
• Strong observational skills paired with sound, level-headed judgment.
• Clear communication and a courteous, service-oriented approach when interacting with residents and the public.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to the dignity and safety of the people served.
• Availability to work a part-time schedule on-site in Bushwick/Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
