Part Time Head Cashier (Store 188 Agoura Hills, CA)

Westlake Hardware is seeking a Part Time Head Cashier at our Store 188 location in Agoura Hills, Los Angeles County. As a key member of our checkout team, you'll lead daily cashier operations, support customer transactions, and help maintain the smooth flow of our retail environment.

About the Role

In this part-time position, you'll oversee our register area and guide a team of cashiers to deliver excellent service. You'll be responsible for opening and closing cash registers, reconciling drawer totals, and ensuring accuracy in all transactions. Your leadership and customer-focused approach will set the tone for our checkout experience.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and train cashiers on register operations, company policies, and customer service standards
• Process transactions accurately and handle various payment methods with efficiency
• Manage cash drawers, perform reconciliations, and maintain proper documentation
• Address customer inquiries and resolve checkout-related issues with professionalism
• Monitor checkout areas for cleanliness, proper signage, and stocked supplies
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including register setup and security protocols
• Support inventory management and coordinate with stock team as needed
• Maintain compliance with company policies and loss prevention procedures

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a retail cashier or supervisory role, ideally in hardware or home improvement retail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and cash handling
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy with financial transactions
• Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
