About the Role

As a Seasonal Garden Center Associate at Westlake Hardware in Omaha, you'll be the friendly face guiding shoppers through everything our garden center has to offer. From annuals and perennials to soils, fertilizers, and outdoor living essentials, you'll deliver knowledgeable, hands-on service during our busiest growing season. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Douglas County, Nebraska.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and offer practical advice on plants, gardening supplies, and seasonal products
• Stock, organize, and maintain attractive, well-merchandised garden center displays
• Water, tend, and care for live plants to keep inventory healthy and presentation-ready
• Process transactions accurately and support a smooth, welcoming checkout experience
• Keep aisles, work areas, and outdoor spaces clean, safe, and easy to shop
• Collaborate with teammates to meet daily goals during peak seasonal demand

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in plants, gardening, or outdoor living — prior garden center or retail experience is a plus
• Strong customer-service instincts and clear, approachable communication
• Comfort working outdoors and on your feet, with the ability to lift and move products such as soil bags, pots, and trays
• Dependability, a team-first attitude, and flexibility to work a seasonal schedule that may include weekends
• Eagerness to learn and share helpful product knowledge with customers
