Key Responsibilities

• Teach assigned social work courses with a focus on student learning outcomes and professional competency development
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and maintain effective communication about academic progress and professional growth
• Hold regular office hours and respond promptly to student inquiries and academic concerns
• Collaborate with departmental colleagues to develop and refine curriculum aligned with social work education standards and accreditation requirements
• Create and sustain a supportive, inclusive learning environment that reflects the university's commitment to diversity and equity
• Assess student learning and track progress toward social work program objectives

Skills & Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or related field (MSW preferred)
• Teaching experience or strong commitment to developing instructional skills in higher education
• Knowledge of contemporary social work practice, social welfare policy, public health frameworks, and administrative contexts
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills
• Ability to engage diverse learners and create an inclusive, welcoming classroom community
• Professional licensure or certification in social work (LCSW, LISW, or equivalent) preferred
