About the Role

As a Paralegal / Legal Assistant III, you'll provide essential legal and administrative support to federal agencies tackling complex criminal enterprises. Your work will directly contribute to cases involving asset recovery, financial crimes, and organized crime investigations. This position requires an active security clearance and demands discretion, precision, and strong organizational capabilities in a sensitive, high-stakes environment.

What You'll Do

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda supporting federal prosecutions and investigations
• Organize and manage discovery materials, evidence, and investigative case files
• Develop case summaries, chronologies, and briefing documents for attorneys and federal law enforcement partners
• Support deposition and trial preparation, including witness coordination and exhibit management
• Assist with asset forfeiture proceedings and regulatory compliance documentation
• Maintain confidential records and ensure adherence to federal classification protocols
• Coordinate with prosecutors, federal agencies, and external counsel on sensitive criminal matters

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification with equivalent professional legal experience
• 3+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience in a federal agency, government contracting, or complex litigation setting
• Active Top Secret security clearance or demonstrated ability to obtain one
• Proficiency with legal research databases, case management systems, and standard business software
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to synthesize complex information clearly
• Strict commitment to confidentiality and protecting classified materials
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a dynamic environment
