About the Role

As a Paraeducator, you'll work alongside special education teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality instruction and individualized support to elementary students. The STRIVE Program is designed to create inclusive learning environments where students receive targeted academic and social-emotional development. You'll be an essential member of the classroom team, helping bridge the gap between instruction and student success.

What You'll Do

• Support special education teachers in implementing evidence-based instructional strategies and lesson plans
• Deliver one-on-one and small-group instruction tailored to individual student goals and learning styles
• Monitor student progress, document observations, and contribute to ongoing assessment efforts
• Help create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and confidence
• Assist with adaptive materials, assistive technology, and accessibility accommodations
• Support students' social-emotional learning and positive peer interactions
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists to meet each student's unique needs
• Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress with the instructional team

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students with disabilities and diverse learning needs
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and families
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to student growth and inclusion
• Ability to follow lesson plans and implement instructional guidance from certified teachers
• Relevant paraprofessional certification or willingness to obtain training (where required)
