Painter 1st Shift

Westlake is seeking an experienced Painter for the 1st Shift at our Greencastle, PA facility. This full-time position offers the opportunity to deliver quality finishes on our products while working within a structured manufacturing environment.

About the Role

As a Painter 1st Shift at Westlake, you'll apply various coatings, primers, and protective finishes to products and components with precision and attention to detail. Working the first shift, you'll contribute directly to our production operations while maintaining rigorous quality standards. This hands-on position allows you to develop expertise in coating application techniques and take ownership of work that meets our exacting specifications.

Core Duties

• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and degreasing to ensure proper paint adhesion and finish quality
• Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings using spray equipment, brushes, rollers, and other application methods
• Inspect finished work for consistency, coverage, color match, and surface quality before products advance
• Operate and maintain painting equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and company procedures
• Follow detailed job specifications and work instructions to meet production requirements and timelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, properly storing materials and disposing of waste in compliance with regulations
• Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA requirements throughout each shift

What We're Looking For

• Previous painting experience or demonstrated background in a coating application role
• Working knowledge of painting techniques, materials, equipment, and spray systems
• Strong attention to detail and genuine commitment to quality workmanship
• Physical capability to stand, bend, reach, and lift regularly during a full shift
• Reliable attendance and dependability for first shift operations
• Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal job instructions accurately
• Safety consciousness and commitment to using personal protective equipment at all times
