Join Northeast Georgia Medical Center as an Outpatient Hospital-Based Coding Supervisor, leading our revenue cycle coding operations from anywhere in the United States. This full-time, remote position offers Monday through Friday days with a standard 8-hour morning-to-afternoon shift—the work-life balance you're looking for without compromising career growth.
About the Role
As our Coding Supervisor, you'll oversee daily coding workflow operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and productivity across your team. You'll combine clinical knowledge with supervisory expertise to drive quality outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of healthcare coding integrity.
What You'll Do
- Supervise coding staff daily, providing guidance and corrective action to maintain performance standards
- Monitor coding quality, identifying patterns and implementing improvements to reduce denials and compliance issues
- Address team concerns, resolve workflow obstacles, and foster a collaborative environment
- Track production metrics and quality reports, ensuring targets are met consistently
- Handle escalated coding questions and complex cases requiring expertise
- Participate in ongoing compliance and regulatory training initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Active RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician), RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator), or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) credential
- Proven experience coding outpatient hospital services or ambulatory settings
- Demonstrated supervisory or lead experience in healthcare revenue cycle
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
