Outdoor Garden Center – Sales Associate – FT

Stine Home & Yard in Sulphur, Calcasieu Parish is hiring a full-time Sales Associate to join our outdoor garden center team. If you're passionate about helping customers find the right products for their home and yard projects, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Sales Associate at our garden center, you'll be the go-to expert for customers looking to tackle home improvement and landscaping projects. Working in our showroom and taking customer calls, you'll build relationships while helping people select the right plants, tools, and supplies for their needs.

What You'll Do

• Greet customers and understand their home improvement or gardening goals
• Provide expert product recommendations based on project requirements and customer preferences
• Assist customers with product selection, pricing, and availability both in-store and over the phone
• Answer questions about gardening, landscaping, construction materials, and home improvement applications
• Maintain product displays and keep the sales floor organized and inviting
• Process transactions and ensure positive customer experiences
• Share knowledge about seasonal products and help customers plan projects

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude
• Knowledge of or genuine interest in the building, home improvement, and gardening industry
• Ability to listen to customer needs and provide helpful guidance
• Comfort working with diverse customers and handling inquiries both in-person and by phone
• Willingness to learn about products and answer customer questions accurately
