What You'll Do

• Perform thorough eye examinations, including refraction, ocular health assessment, and vision testing
• Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye syndrome
• Provide preoperative evaluations and postoperative follow‑up for patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Collaborate closely with ophthalmologists to ensure seamless co‑management of surgical cases
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and comply with all regulatory documentation requirements
• Stay current with emerging diagnostic tools and incorporate them into daily practice
• Educate patients on treatment options, preventive care, and lens or therapy recommendations

What We're Looking For

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
• Active and unrestricted Texas optometry license; DEA registration if prescribing medication
• Proven experience in medical optometry and surgical co‑management within an ophthalmology or multidisciplinary clinic
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with diverse patient populations
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and modern diagnostic equipment (e.g., OCT, visual fields, corneal topography)
• Commitment to delivering patient‑centered, evidence‑based care
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment
