Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a full-time Clinical Risk Liaison in Brookline, Norfolk County, to safeguard patient safety throughout a major hospital transformation initiative. About the Role
As the Clinical Risk Liaison at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, you will act as the central bridge linking the Transition and Clinical Teams with the Quality and Patient Safety Department. Reporting to the Director of Risk Management and Patient Safety, you will take a proactive approach to surfacing, ranking, and reducing safety risks as the organization moves through its hospital transformation. The position is dedicated specifically to clinical risk oversight during this period of change.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact connecting the Transition and Clinical Teams with the Quality and Patient Safety Department.
- Identify potential clinical safety concerns early and bring them forward before they escalate.
- Assess and prioritize risks tied to the hospital transformation effort so the most pressing issues receive timely attention.
- Partner with clinical and quality stakeholders to develop and carry out strategies that lessen patient safety risks.
- Support the Director of Risk Management and Patient Safety in advancing a culture of safe, high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Background in clinical care, risk management, quality, or patient safety within a healthcare setting.
- Strong ability to recognize, evaluate, and communicate clinical safety risks.
- Skilled at collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and building trusted working relationships.
- Organized and methodical, with sound judgment for prioritizing competing concerns during organizational change.
- Comfortable working on-site in Brookline, Norfolk County, in a full-time capacity.
