Office of Federal and State Programs Tutor

Richland County School District One is seeking a dedicated Tutor for its Office of Federal and State Programs. This is a full-time, hourly classified position supporting students through after-school tutoring services.

About the Role

As a Tutor with the Office of Federal and State Programs, you'll provide targeted academic assistance and guidance to help students succeed. Working closely with classroom teachers and school staff, you'll deliver instruction that addresses individual student needs and supports academic progress.

What You'll Do

• Deliver academic tutoring for a minimum of two hours daily across multiple days per week
• Collaborate with teachers to identify student learning needs and develop support strategies
• Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction in core academic subjects
• Monitor and document student progress, sharing outcomes with teachers and supervisors
• Help students build confidence and foster positive attitudes toward learning
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all school district policies

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Knowledge of K-12 academic content and instructional strategies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
• Reliable attendance and dependability
• Flexibility to accommodate after-school program scheduling
