NOC Engineer

About the Role

We're seeking a skilled NOC Engineer to oversee our Network Operations Centre, where you'll manage real-time monitoring, incident response, and network performance optimisation. You'll be the technical backbone ensuring our systems run reliably 24/7, troubleshooting issues as they arise and implementing solutions that keep our infrastructure stable and secure. This role demands both technical depth and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network systems, servers, and applications in real time using industry-standard monitoring tools
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network faults, connectivity issues, and system performance problems
• Respond to and escalate critical incidents according to defined service level agreements
• Maintain detailed logs of all network events, issues, and resolutions
• Perform routine network maintenance, updates, and configuration changes
• Collaborate with systems administrators and IT teams to optimise network performance
• Generate reports on network health, uptime metrics, and operational trends
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and data protection standards

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in IT, telecommunications, or network administration (certificate, diploma, or degree)
• Demonstrated experience working in a NOC or similar network operations environment
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and infrastructure (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls)
• Proficiency with network monitoring and ticketing systems
• Solid troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
