About the Role
As a News Photographer/Videojournalist for our Wilmington station, you'll be at the forefront of local news coverage, combining technical expertise with journalistic instinct to tell the stories that matter to our community. This full-time position merges photography and videography skills to produce broadcast-quality content across multiple platforms.
What You'll Do
- Shoot and edit video content for television news broadcasts and digital platforms
- Capture compelling photography and visual storytelling from assignment locations
- Respond to breaking news and rapidly developing stories with professional equipment
- Collaborate with reporters, producers, and editors to create polished news packages
- Maintain broadcast-quality standards for all multimedia content
- Operate broadcast cameras and related technical equipment proficiently
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining journalistic integrity
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in broadcast news photography and videography
- Proficiency with professional video cameras and editing software
- Strong visual storytelling skills and news judgment
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and on-call availability
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Portfolio or reel demonstrating your broadcast news work
