About the Role
As Senior Estimator in our Aviation Division, you'll be instrumental in the success of our commercial construction projects. You'll manage the complete estimation process from initial proposal through project delivery, converting complex project requirements into precise, competitive cost analyses that position us to win business and deliver projects profitably.
What You'll Do
- Develop comprehensive project estimates and cost proposals for aviation construction projects and infrastructure work
- Review architectural, engineering, and technical specifications to understand full project scope and requirements
- Calculate material costs, labor hours, equipment needs, and overhead to build detailed cost models
- Partner with project managers, senior engineers, and field teams to refine estimates and optimize bidding strategies
- Monitor estimate accuracy against actual project performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Support business development efforts by delivering detailed, timely estimates for new commercial opportunities
- Maintain organized documentation and estimating databases for historical reference and trend analysis
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5+ years of professional estimating experience in commercial or heavy construction
- Demonstrated expertise in aviation, specialized industrial, or infrastructure project estimation
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, labor productivity, and project scheduling
- Proficiency with estimating software platforms and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent analytical skills with precision and attention to detail in financial calculations
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
- Clear communication and collaborative approach to working across teams
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related discipline preferred
