About the Role
As a Multimedia Journalist with KYTV and KSPR, you'll be at the center of local storytelling in Springfield and Greene County, combining investigative instincts with production skills to craft news that matters to your community. You'll work across multiple platforms and formats, from traditional television broadcast to digital-first content, bringing stories to life for audiences who depend on timely, accurate local news and weather reporting.
What You'll Do
- Research and investigate news stories, identifying angles that resonate with Springfield-area audiences
- Gather source material and conduct interviews with community members and newsmakers
- Shoot, edit, and produce video content for television and online distribution
- Write compelling copy and scripts that inform and engage viewers across platforms
