About the Role
As a Multi‑Axis CNC Setup and Production Specialist, you'll take ownership of programming, configuring, and operating advanced CNC mills and lathes. You'll work independently to set up machines for production runs, monitor part accuracy and cycle efficiency, and drive continuous improvements in our manufacturing processes.
What You'll Do
- Program and configure multi‑axis CNC equipment according to engineering drawings and production specifications
- Perform complete machine setup, including workholding, tool changes, offset calibration, and test cycles
- Operate CNC mills and lathes, monitoring output quality, dimensional accuracy, and production throughput
- Conduct in-process and finished-part inspections using precision measurement tools to verify compliance with tolerances
- Diagnose and resolve setup issues, tool wear problems, and machine discrepancies with real-time adjustments
- Maintain accurate production records, work orders, and equipment maintenance logs
- Prioritize safety compliance and actively support a workplace culture of accident prevention
- Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce scrap, increase efficiency, and enhance consistency
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience programming, setting up, and running multi‑axis CNC machinery in production environments
- Solid knowledge of G‑code, machine offsets, tool compensation, and standard machining operations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work specifications with confidence
- Hands-on skill with precision measurement instruments and familiarity with geometric tolerance standards
- Detail-oriented, problem-solving approach with genuine commitment to part quality and craftsmanship
- Strong communication skills, dependability, and ability to work effectively with your production team
- Valid driver's license and full availability to work at our Richmond Square location
