About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential semiconductor organization in Paris that is developing cutting-edge mixed-signal integrated circuits. Our talent team is searching for a Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to own the digital subsystems within analog-centric environments—from RTL design through physical implementation and tape-out.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of digital and analog design, tackling high-speed calibration, data conversion, and serial I/O challenges in a fast-paced technical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and verify digital subsystems that interface with high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits, including calibration engines, control FSMs, data converters, and multiplexing logic
  • Contribute to analog component design at the digital-analog interface: calibration circuits, DACs/ADCs, comparators, and related blocks
  • Integrate and customize external IP blocks such as GPIOs, LVDS I/Os, and serial interfaces, ensuring compliance with analog signal and timing requirements
  • Lead the digital implementation flow for mixed-signal blocks from RTL through synthesis, floorplanning, place-and-route, timing closure, physical signoff, and tape-out
  • Collaborate with analog, layout, and system teams to co-optimize digital-analog boundaries, resolve cross-domain issues, and ensure robust high-speed performance
  • Contribute to high-speed serial I/O subsystem development; SerDes design and implementation experience is a significant advantage

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in digital RTL design using Verilog or SystemVerilog, particularly for mixed-signal systems involving high-speed calibration/control loops, converters, multiplexers, and serial/parallel data paths
  • Experience with analog IC development environments such as Virtuoso or equivalent
  • Deep understanding of digital-analog integration challenges including timing closure, noise coupling, clock domain crossing, and analog-aware floorplanning in high-speed environments
  • Proven ability to drive digital blocks from design through verification, synthesis, floorplanning, place-and-route, and tape-out, especially in analog or RF IC contexts
  • Skilled in integrating and adapting external IP blocks such as GPIOs, LVDS, SPI/I²C interfaces; high-speed serializer/deserializer (SerDes) experience is highly valued
  • Proficient with industry-standard EDA toolchains for both front-end design/verification and back-end physical implementation, with strong grasp of mixed-signal layout constraints
  • English proficiency required; French language skills are a plus
