About the Role
As a Medical Surgical LPN at our Eau Gallie rehabilitation facility, you'll provide direct patient care to individuals recovering from surgery, acute illness, and injury. You'll work alongside registered nurses and healthcare professionals to support patient rehabilitation goals, monitor clinical progress, and ensure a safe healing environment. This role combines technical nursing skills with genuine patient advocacy in a collaborative, mission-driven setting.
What You'll Do
- Assess and monitor patient vital signs, reporting changes to the clinical team
- Provide wound care, dressing changes, and post-operative support
- Assist with medication administration under RN supervision
- Help patients with activities of daily living and comfort measures
- Document patient care accurately and timely in medical records
- Maintain infection control and safety standards
- Communicate patient needs and observations to the nursing and interdisciplinary care team
- Support hospital operations and patient satisfaction initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Active Florida LPN/LVN license in good standing
- Current CPR certification
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment
- Compassion, patience, and commitment to patient-centered care
- Physical ability to perform nursing duties safely
