Medical Scribe (Part Time/Temporary-Non-Benefited))

Roswell Park Cancer Institute is hiring a part-time Medical Scribe to support clinical documentation within our Survivorship & Supportive Care team at our Hospital location in Broome County. About the Role

As a Medical Scribe (Part Time/Temporary, Non-Benefited) at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, you will work side by side with physicians, patients, and clinic staff to keep patient visits running smoothly and to capture accurate, real-time clinical documentation. This is a temporary, non-benefited position based in the Ambulatory Services – Survivorship & Supportive Care department, scheduled for approximately 20 hours per week (0.5 FTE) on a first-shift basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with physicians during patient encounters to document clinical findings, histories, and care plans in real time.
• Help coordinate patient flow so that visits in the Survivorship & Supportive Care clinic stay on schedule.
• Communicate clearly with patients and clinic staff to support an efficient and positive care experience.
• Maintain organized, accurate records that reflect each provider's documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to capture information quickly and accurately.
• Comfort working collaboratively in a busy hospital and ambulatory care environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Availability for part-time, first-shift hours (roughly 20 hours weekly) on a temporary basis.
