Join Baptist Healthcare System as a Medical Lab Technician for our newly opening Freestanding Emergency Department in Radcliff, Hardin County. This part-time day shift position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and the opportunity to be part of our team during this exciting launch in August 2026.
About the Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented Medical Lab Technician to support our new Freestanding Emergency Department. Working day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, you'll perform essential laboratory testing that directly impacts patient care in an emergency setting. This part-time role provides flexibility while allowing you to contribute meaningfully to urgent and emergent care delivery in Radcliff.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory procedures on patient specimens including blood, urine, and tissue samples
- Execute and interpret laboratory tests with accuracy and precision
- Analyze test results to determine the presence, absence, or clinical cause of disease
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of all laboratory findings and procedures
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to established protocols
- Collaborate with emergency department clinicians to ensure timely and accurate results
- Follow all quality control and safety standards in the laboratory environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification or equivalent clinical laboratory certification
- Demonstrated proficiency with laboratory instrumentation and specimen handling
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in testing procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
