About the Role

As a Nursing Education Specialist on the Nursing Professional Development team, you will partner across the Department of Nursing to design, deliver, and assess educational programs using a systems-based approach. Working from Mayo Clinic's Jacksonville campus, you will support staff through every stage of their learning journey — from onboarding through ongoing skill advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess learning needs and plan, deliver, and evaluate educational activities through a systems model for nursing staff.
• Coordinate orientation, continuing education, and competency programs across the department.
• Serve as a learning facilitator and mentor, guiding nursing professionals toward their development goals.
• Act as a change agent and leader who advances new initiatives and best practices.
• Champion scientific inquiry and advocate for the advancement of Nursing Professional Development.

Qualifications

• Background in nursing education, professional development, or a closely related clinical practice area.
• Strength in facilitating learning, mentoring colleagues, and leading change within a team setting.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and a spirit of scientific inquiry.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills for working across nursing staff and departments.
• Availability to work on-site in Jacksonville, Duval County (this position is not remote).
