About the Role
As the Seasonal Director: Challenge Course, you will own the day-to-day direction of the challenge course program in Medford Lakes, Burlington County. From strategic planning to hands-on facilitation, you'll shape a department that helps campers build confidence, teamwork, and resilience through guided adventure activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct, organize, and execute all operations of the challenge course department.
- Plan and roll out engaging course programming for both large and small groups of campers.
- Personally lead and facilitate challenge course activities in a variety of group settings.
- Supervise, coach, and support a team of 6 to 10 Challenge Course Instructors.
- Uphold a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous skill development across the program.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience, ideally in challenge course, ropes, or adventure-based programming.
- Ability to manage, mentor, and develop a seasonal instructional team.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to coordinate programming for groups of all sizes.
- A genuine commitment to camper safety and positive youth development.
- Comfort working hands-on and on-site in an outdoor camp environment.
