Role Overview

As a Patient Access Coordinator at Baptist Healthcare System's primary care office, you are the first point of contact for our patients. You manage patient scheduling, maintain accurate medical records, and handle financial interactions with professionalism and care. This role is critical to ensuring our primary care practice runs efficiently and patients receive the attention they deserve.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and place reminder calls to confirm upcoming visits
• Greet patients upon arrival and complete registration and check-in procedures
• Verify and update patient demographic information and insurance coverage details
• Input patient and insurance data accurately into medical records systems
• Collect co-payments and other patient payments at point of service
• Process patient check-outs and maintain organized financial records
• Prepare daily deposit reconciliation reports and financial summaries
• Answer patient inquiries and direct calls to the appropriate clinical and administrative staff
