About the Role

The Executive Secretary serves as a trusted administrative partner to legislative leaders, handling confidential matters and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will be the coordinator between elected officials and their staff, constituents, and other state agencies—managing priorities, schedules, and complex communications with professionalism and discretion.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and manage executive calendars, coordinating availability for meetings, hearings, and legislative sessions
• Schedule conferences, committee meetings, and official appointments with elected officials and state partners
• Prepare detailed itineraries and travel arrangements for legislative activities and official business
• Process, screen, and route incoming correspondence and communications with appropriate follow-up
• Prepare professional responses to routine communications and inquiries on behalf of legislators
• Brief meeting participants on agenda topics, provide background materials, and ensure attendees are well-informed
• Maintain organized filing systems and documentation for legislative records and official correspondence
• Support office administration and coordinate with other state agencies as needed
