Medical Assistant (MA, EMT, CNA) – Cardiology

About the Role

As a Medical Assistant in Cardiology, you'll work directly with patients and physicians to deliver essential clinical support. This full-time position offers meaningful work in a specialized cardiology setting where your skills and dedication directly impact patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Obtain and record patient vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation
• Assist with electrocardiogram (EKG) setup, electrode placement, and diagnostic testing
• Support cardiology providers during patient examinations and clinical procedures
• Perform patient intake procedures and provide health education
• Document patient interactions and clinical findings in the medical record
• Coordinate clinical workflow and manage patient flow efficiently
• Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and patients

What We're Looking For

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program, OR active Connecticut CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or Medic certification, OR equivalent healthcare experience
• Certified BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider credential from the American Heart Association, to be obtained within 90 days of hire if not currently held
• Commitment to maintaining all required certifications throughout employment
• Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Dedication to patient safety and quality clinical care
