This is a full-time position with Steinger, Greene, and Feiner, a personal injury law firm dedicated to securing maximum recovery for clients navigating life's most difficult moments. As a Pre-Litigation Attorney, you'll manage the critical early stages of case development, working directly with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel to build strong claims and pursue fair settlements.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough client consultations and case intake, gathering detailed information about injuries and damages
- Perform legal research and analysis to evaluate case merit and applicable liability theories
- Review and organize medical records, discovery documents, and evidence to support claim development
- Draft correspondence, demand letters, and litigation-ready documents that clearly articulate client positions
- Manage discovery requests and responses with efficiency and accuracy
- Negotiate with insurance adjusters and defense counsel to resolve cases favorably
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients, keeping them informed of case progress and settlement discussions
- Prepare cases for trial when settlement negotiations do not yield acceptable outcomes
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar license in Tennessee
- Demonstrated experience in personal injury litigation or pre-litigation case management
- Strong legal writing and research skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities—both written and verbal—with clients and legal professionals
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving mindset focused on maximizing client recovery
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software
