In this full-time position, you'll lead mechanical commissioning efforts on power infrastructure projects, ensuring complex systems are safely commissioned, thoroughly tested, and ready for operation.
About the Role
Reporting to the Startup Manager, you'll partner with the Mechanical Lead to oversee mechanical equipment inspection, startup procedures, and system testing for power generation projects. Your work will span coordination of commissioning activities, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and ensuring all startup milestones meet safety standards and project specifications.
What You'll Do
- Champion safety across all commissioning fieldwork and coordinate safety-first protocols
- Inspect and test mechanical equipment, systems, and components before and during startup
- Coordinate daily commissioning work with the Mechanical Lead and project teams
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions during startup and testing phases
- Document startup procedures, test results, and equipment performance
- Verify compliance with specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements
- Report technical findings and project status to management
