About the Role
As a Mechanical Project Engineer specializing in mission-critical facilities, you'll lead the mechanical engineering design and coordination for projects where reliability and performance are non-negotiable. Your work will span concept through construction, ensuring mechanical systems meet the demanding requirements of data centers, healthcare facilities, and other essential infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Design and engineer mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and specialized infrastructure equipment for mission-critical environments
- Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, electrical, and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, industry standards, and client specifications
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables from design through construction administration
- Communicate with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical challenges and maintain project momentum
- Incorporate energy efficiency and sustainable design practices into mechanical system solutions
- Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for bidding and construction
What We're Looking For
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering or ability to obtain one
- Proven experience designing mechanical systems for critical infrastructure or mission-critical facilities
- Strong knowledge of HVAC design, building code compliance, and mechanical system integration
- Proficiency with CAD software and engineering design tools
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships
- Commitment to sustainable design and innovative engineering solutions
