Program Area Director

BAE Systems is seeking an accomplished Program Area Director to lead its Data and Analytics Solutions (DAS) Program Area in West Falls Church, Fairfax County. This full-time, on-site leadership role offers the chance to shape mission-critical analytics programs at the heart of national defense.

About the Role

As Program Area Director, you will direct the Data and Analytics Solutions (DAS) Program Area, which sits within the Advanced Mission Solutions (AMS) Product Line and the C4ISR Business Area of the Electronic Systems (ES) Sector. We are looking for a steady, high-impact leader who guides teams with composure, open communication, sound strategic judgment, and a genuine commitment to developing people. This position is based in West Falls Church, Fairfax County, and is not a remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the DAS Program Area and its portfolio of programs.
• Align program objectives with the goals of the AMS Product Line and the broader C4ISR Business Area.
• Drive performance across cost, schedule, and technical delivery for data and analytics initiatives.
• Mentor and grow program teams, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
• Partner with stakeholders across the Electronic Systems Sector to advance mission outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading programs or a program area, ideally within defense, aerospace, or related technical environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead with calm reflection, clear communication, and strong strategic decision-making.
• A track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Familiarity with data and analytics solutions and C4ISR mission domains is highly valued.
