As a Meat Clerk at our Omaha meat department, you'll provide essential service to customers while maintaining the highest standards for product quality and presentation. This hands-on role combines customer interaction with food preparation skills, requiring you to work efficiently while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. You'll be responsible for keeping the department running smoothly, ensuring customers find exactly what they need, and upholding the Hyvee reputation for quality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and package meat products according to customer requests and company specifications
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized meat department following all food safety regulations and health codes
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate cuts, sizes, and types of meat for their cooking needs
• Operate meat department equipment safely and maintain proper functionality
• Monitor inventory, rotate stock appropriately, and ensure product freshness and quality standards
• Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet daily goals
