Manufacturing Technician 1 – 2nd Shift

Thermo Fisher Scientific is hiring a Manufacturing Technician 1 for full-time, second-shift work at our Miami, Miami-Dade County facility. You'll work afternoons and evenings in a dynamic manufacturing environment, earning $22.50 per hour plus a 10% shift differential, with the possibility of overtime on Saturdays.

What This Role Involves

As a Manufacturing Technician 1 on the second shift, you'll be a key member of our production team, performing essential manufacturing operations in a heavily regulated, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment. You'll work Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with the possibility of Saturday overtime. This position requires strict adherence to all safety protocols and manufacturing standards, and you'll wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gown, gloves, lab coat, and ear protection as needed throughout your shift.

Your Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment according to standard operating procedures and GMP guidelines
• Perform quality checks and inspections on products to ensure they meet specifications
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required by regulatory standards
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, and ear plugs
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve production issues and optimize workflow
• Support inventory and material handling activities on the manufacturing floor
• Assist with equipment cleaning and maintenance as directed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work a consistent second-shift schedule (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday)
• Willingness to work overtime on Saturday as needed
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials regularly
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Willingness to follow strict safety and manufacturing protocols
• Ability to work in a regulated, GMP-controlled environment
• Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus
