Senior Financial Analyst – MSD Hillsboro Operations

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior Financial Analyst supporting operations at our Hillsboro facility. This is a full-time, office-based position within our Material & Structural Analysis division, where you'll partner with the operations finance team to drive strategic financial management for our Electron Microscopy business.

About the Role

As Senior Financial Analyst for Hillsboro Operations, you'll serve as a critical link between finance and operations, translating complex business requirements into actionable financial insights. Working on-site at our Hillsboro, Washington County location with a standard Monday through Friday schedule, you'll own the financial planning, analysis, and reporting that enables leadership to allocate resources effectively and identify growth opportunities across operational areas.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain comprehensive annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts for operations teams
• Conduct variance analysis and prepare detailed financial reports explaining performance against targets
• Evaluate capital projects and develop financial justifications for operational investments
• Partner with operations leadership to understand business drivers and quantify financial implications
• Consolidate operational financial data for division-wide reporting and strategic planning initiatives
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and support execution of financial improvement initiatives
• Model financial scenarios and develop business cases to support key management decisions

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of financial analysis, operations finance, or corporate finance experience
• Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling and data visualization
• Proven expertise in budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent field
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational capabilities
• Experience in manufacturing, operations, or life sciences preferred
