Senior Technical, Water Resources Engineer

Role Overview

This senior-level engineering role offers the opportunity to lead water resources planning, design, and analysis on a diverse portfolio of projects. You'll apply technical expertise in hydraulics, hydrologic modeling, and water infrastructure to solve complex water management challenges. This position draws on your depth of experience to mentor team members and drive solutions across the full project lifecycle.

Core Duties

• Lead water resources and hydraulic design studies and analyses on assigned projects
• Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models to evaluate system performance and inform design decisions
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and design documentation for water infrastructure projects
• Provide project management and technical leadership on water resources assignments
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives
• Review and mentor junior engineers on technical methodologies and project delivery
• Contribute to proposal development and pre-design planning activities

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility in Colorado or another US state
• 5+ years of professional experience in water resources or civil engineering
• Demonstrated expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software and tools
• Strong technical writing and communication abilities
• Proficiency in engineering design software and CAD applications
• Experience with water infrastructure projects (stormwater, flood management, watershed, water supply, or similar focus areas)
• Ability to lead projects and mentor engineering staff
