Lithuanian Localization QA Tester / Proofreader (Part-Time)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential localization services organization in their search for a Part-Time Lithuanian Localization QA Tester / Proofreader. This is a long-term engagement with no set end date, offering stability and the opportunity to apply both language expertise and technical skills in a quality assurance environment.

Our talent team is seeking candidates based in France, Germany, Greece, Romania, or Spain who can help deliver high-quality Lithuanian content that feels natural, accurate, and culturally appropriate for end users.

Responsibilities

• Review and refine localized content in Lithuanian, ensuring it reads smoothly and is free from errors
• Check grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, formatting, and cultural or contextual accuracy
• Execute test cases hands-on with digital products to identify localization bugs
• Write and report bugs and errors using best practices through internal database systems
• Verify that reported issues have been resolved correctly after fixes are implemented
• Translate content from English into Lithuanian on occasion
• Explore user interfaces to identify localization or functional issues
• Evaluate translations in the context of software, mobile apps, and documentation
• Adhere to project-specific quality standards, style guides, and client-preferred checklists and glossaries
• Troubleshoot basic problems and escalate testing issues effectively
• Complete assigned tasks in a quality and timely manner

What We're Looking For

• Native-level fluency in Lithuanian with strong cultural awareness of Lithuania
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Lithuanian and English
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to understand and prioritize tasks and issues quickly and efficiently
• Highly organized work approach
• Ability to follow testing instructions and test cases accurately
• Subject matter expertise for linguistic issues in Lithuanian, with research and problem-solving abilities
• Ideal backgrounds include Marketing, Journalism, Copy Editing, Proofreading, Writing, Translation, and/or Localization
• Must be based in France, Germany, Greece, Romania, or Spain
