Role Overview
At Southern Health Partners Inc., we are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our night shift team at the Troup County Jail in Georgia. This role requires someone who can maintain composure and provide high-quality care under pressure, working rotating shifts that include every other weekend.
Core Duties
- Provide direct patient care as per medical orders and facility policies
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, documenting observations accurately
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by a physician or registered nurse (RN)
- Perform basic nursing tasks such as wound dressing changes and vital sign monitoring
- Support the RN in patient care activities and documentation
- Ensure all procedures are performed with attention to safety and infection control protocols
What You Bring
- A current LPN license in Georgia
- Minimum of 1 year experience working as an LPN, preferably in a correctional or healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under stressful conditions
- Rotating night shift availability including every other weekend
