About the Role

Central Insurance is seeking a detail-oriented Liability Claims Specialist to join our Dublin, Franklin County office. In this position, you'll be the frontline investigator and advocate handling complex liability claims from initial contact through resolution. You'll work directly with claimants, witnesses, and legal partners to assess damages, determine fault, and ensure fair, timely claim decisions.

What You'll Do

• Receive and review incoming liability claims, gathering detailed information from claimants and related parties
• Conduct thorough investigations including site inspections, photo documentation, and witness interviews
• Review police reports, medical records, and other supporting documentation to establish claim facts
• Assess liability exposure and estimate claim reserves based on policy terms and injury severity
• Maintain regular contact with claimants, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the claims process
• Collaborate with legal counsel and adjusters on complex or high-value liability matters
• Prepare detailed claim summaries and recommendations for claim approval, denial, or settlement
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and company claims procedures
• Track claim metrics and meet performance targets for resolution timelines and customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
• 2+ years of claims handling or insurance experience, ideally in liability or casualty claims
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional interactions with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office
• Attention to detail and ability to organize complex information accurately
• Problem-solving mindset and comfort working independently within established guidelines
• Valid driver's license and ability to conduct field investigations
• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving industry practices
