About the Role

As a Lead Teacher at KinderCare in Lake Zurich, you'll create an engaging, safe, and nurturing classroom environment where children develop confidence and a love of learning. This position combines hands-on teaching, lesson planning, and collaboration with your team to deliver quality early education programming.

What You'll Do

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth
• Lead a classroom with enthusiasm, patience, and consistency while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe space
• Observe and assess each child's progress, documenting developmental milestones and areas for growth
• Build positive, trusting relationships with families through daily communication and updates about their child's day
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to coordinate activities, transitions, and classroom operations
• Model kindness, respect, and problem-solving to help children develop social and emotional skills

What We're Looking For

• Genuine passion for working with young children and commitment to their development and well-being
• Early childhood education qualification, certification, or equivalent experience in a childcare setting
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teams and families
• Patience, creativity, and flexibility to adapt to the needs of different learners
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries while creating warm, welcoming relationships
• Current or willingness to obtain relevant certifications (such as CPR and First Aid)
