About the Role
The Conviction & Sentencing Integrity Unit is dedicated to ensuring fairness and accuracy in the criminal justice system by thoroughly examining cases and sentencing records. As a Law Clerk, you'll provide essential legal research and analytical support to attorneys and supervisors working on conviction integrity matters.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive legal research on cases, statutory precedents, and sentencing guidelines
- Review and analyze case files, court records, and sentencing documentation
- Prepare legal memoranda and case summaries for attorney review and decision-making
- Assist with evidence examination and case file organization
- Support conviction integrity investigations and case assessments
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with office procedures
- Coordinate with legal staff, investigators, and other departments as assigned
