Landscape Crew Leader

Walmart in Toledo, Lucas County is hiring a full-time Landscape Crew Leader to manage and supervise grounds maintenance operations across our facilities. In this leadership role, you'll direct landscape crews, ensure quality standards, and maintain safe, attractive outdoor environments.

About the Role

As our Landscape Crew Leader, you'll take charge of all landscaping activities at our location, overseeing crew members while maintaining the highest standards for grounds appearance and upkeep. You'll combine hands-on expertise with supervisory responsibilities—ensuring daily tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to Walmart's specifications. This is a full-time position ideal for someone ready to step into a leadership role within the landscaping industry.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate landscape crew members on a daily basis
• Plan and schedule landscaping activities, including maintenance, plantings, and seasonal updates
• Operate landscape equipment safely and train crew members on proper use
• Monitor work quality and ensure all tasks meet company standards
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of plant health, irrigation systems, and grounds maintenance techniques
• Communicate with facility management regarding project needs and completion status
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance or grounds keeping, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of landscaping practices, plants, and equipment operation
• Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to perform physical labor
• Commitment to safety and attention to detail
