KYC Investigator – Ongoing Due Diligence

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a KYC Investigator to join their Ongoing Due Diligence team in Canada. Our client operates at the intersection of banking technology and regulatory compliance, serving a dynamic customer base that requires sophisticated risk management. This is a remote opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with experience in compliance, AML, fraud prevention, or regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct KYC refresh and enhanced due diligence reviews on existing accounts to ensure regulatory compliance
• Support BPO partners with escalations related to Customer Identification Program (CIP), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) review types
• Document rationale for account maintenance or exit decisions following thorough reviews
• Identify trends and themes across reviews to reduce unnecessary review volumes and improve operational efficiency
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and customers throughout the review process
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all compliance reviews conducted
• Identify and escalate potential risks or concerns to management promptly

What We're Looking For

• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to KYC, AML, and customer due diligence
• Background in risk management, banking, compliance, AML, fraud prevention, or regulatory environments
• Experience working autonomously in queue-based roles with strong prioritization skills
• Exceptional attention to detail with emphasis on quality and accuracy
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written communication skills
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in fast-paced environments
• Ability to work independently while recognizing when to seek guidance
• Proven track record of maintaining organized workflows and clean inbox management
